As Planetary CFO, I agree that we must value natural assets if we are to properly protect them. Economics is a tool invented by mankind, but most people forget that economics is fundamentally about appropriate allocation (ie sharing) of scarce resources. We need some of that right now if we're to pull back ecological overshoot, so that we can leave a sustainable world for future generations.
